Here is exactly what we charge, so you can work out the cost before you call. Prices include GST unless marked + GST.

- Materials are at the retail price you’d pay in store, no mark-up on everyday jobs. A quote for a bigger project may add a margin and a charge for ordering and collecting the materials, and may have them invoiced before the work starts; it says so if it does. Tip fees and skips are at cost, and only if needed.
- No call-out fee on top of the first visit. Travel outside Masterton is told to you before booking.
- A ballpark estimate from your photos is at no charge and does not tie you in. You only pay for a quote visit if you book one.
- Payment is by bank transfer when the work is done and you have the invoice.

Most jobs: by the hour
Repairs, maintenance and list jobs. You pay for the time on the job and the materials. We tell you roughly how long it should take, and ask before going over.
Bigger jobs: a ballpark estimate at no charge, then a written quote
Decks, fences and builds over about $3,000. Send photos through Get a price and Bryan replies with the ballpark estimate, a price range, at no charge. If you want a fixed price, we visit, measure and give you a fixed price. Big jobs can be split into stages, so you can start with part of it.
Projects that change as they go
Renovations where nobody can know everything upfront. We agree a budget, you buy materials on your own trade account, and labour is billed weekly. We tell you well before the budget is reached.

Is my job too small?
No. The first visit covers the first 2 hours, includes travel in Masterton, so add a few things from the list and we'll get through them in one go.
Do you come to my town?
Yes: Masterton, Carterton, Greytown, Featherston, Martinborough and the wider Wairarapa. Outside Masterton, travel is $1.30 a km including GST, and we tell you the amount before booking.
What if you find another problem?

Can you quote for an insurance claim?
Yes, for repairs we will do. Start with a ballpark estimate from your photos, at no charge. If you want a written quote, the quote visit is $247.50 including GST, plus travel outside Masterton, taken off your bill when we do the work. If you take a cash settlement instead, the fee covers our time.
How do I pay?
By bank transfer when the work is done and you have the invoice.
