Handyman in Carterton
Carterton is about 15 minutes south of Masterton, so it's an easy run for us. We do repairs, carpentry, fencing, decks and the fridge-list jobs, done properly by an experienced local handyman. Rates published upfront, travel confirmed before we book.
Everything on our services list travels to Carterton: repairs and maintenance, carpentry, fencing and decks, storm damage, painting prep, and bundled list jobs. A lot of Carterton work is for people who commute to Masterton or over the hill and simply don't have the daylight to get to the list, so we knock the lot off in one visit.
Carterton jobs work best bundled. Once we're on site the two-hour minimum is already covered, so bring the whole list and we'll work through it in one trip rather than three separate call-outs.
Carterton is a mix of older weatherboard cottages close to High Street, and newer houses and lifestyle blocks spreading out toward the rural edges. The town homes have the usual older-house quirks: sticking doors, tired weatherboards, gutters and spouting pulling away from the fascia. The lifestyle blocks bring their own list: boundary and post-and-rail fencing, gates, decking, and section tidy-ups after a hard Wairarapa winter.
We know what this climate does to timber out here, and we build and repair for it, with the right species, the right fixings and the right post spacing.
Same published rates as everywhere else: $247.50 covers the first two hours on site, then $109.25/hr. Travel from Masterton is $1.21/km round trip, and for Carterton that's typically about $36, confirmed exactly before anything is booked.
Materials are charged at standard retail with no handling margin, and if a job looks like running longer than expected we stop and check in with you first. No surprises, and that's the whole point.
